Phewww….finally…I got a break to write a little..
Hmmm…as usual, it has been a busy week and still busy..and hot days too!!!!
Summer is here I guess….
Compared to Indonesia, actually the temperature isn’t too bad..but the problem is, I think, that this land is quite near to the sun level…so..it is hotter and I think also it’s dry..so it’s not like Jakarta which is always hot but moist.

Anyway..last Sunday, since the weather wasn’t too hot (well, I might say it’s warm but the sun was very sharp!!!), we went to Cinestar to watch MADAGASCAR — a new animation movie…It was hilarious!!!
You should watch it in the cinema near you..:)

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT??
Well, I especially like the Giraffe (David Schwimmer from Friends filled the voice for Melman the Giraffe)…
And don’t forget the "plotting penguins"…they are hilarious!!! I couldn’t stop laughing when they were on action.!!!
MY OPINION OF THE CHARACTER?
I have to say…Melman is a junkie-giraffe…hahahaha…[you have to see it first...then you'll understand what I mean.!!!!]

Anyway..here are some the review about the movie:

This movie focuses on four residents and
"stars" of the Central Park Zoo in New York City who are also best
friends: a lion (Stiller), a zebra (Rock), a giraffe (Schwimmer) and a
pregnant hippo (Smith). When one of them goes missing, the other three
break out of the zoo looking for him, and eventually all four are
captured and put in boxes to ship them back to the continent their
species are originally from: Africa. An accident at sea, however,
strands them on the shore of Madagascar. Having had humans take care of
them their entire life, the four know nothing of surviving in the wild,
or that one of them, the lion, is genetically predisposed to eat his
three best friends. Exploring their surroundings, the four friends soon
meet the Malagasy locals (a type of lemur given to having loud
"rave-like" dance parties) and their carnivorous enemies, the fousas.
As the two sides try to use these four new, strange (and large) friends
to their benefit, our heroes are also confronted with the reality of
their predestined roles in nature.

At New York’s Central Park Zoo, a lion (Stiller), a zebra (Rock), a
giraffe (Schwimmer), and a hippo (Smith) are best friends and stars of
the show. But when one of the animals goes missing from their cage, the
other three break free to look for him, only to find themselves
reunited … on a ship en route to Africa. When their vessel is
hijacked, however, the friends, who have all been raised in captivity,
learn first-hand what life can be like in the wild.

Zwolle, Den Haag, etc…

It’s been so long since I wrote another story of my daily life…:)
Coz it’s been a quite busy week.
Running around from one city to another just to settle the matter of my residency visa…how annoying!!!
Why do I have to do all of these things???
1. My VTV expired on 6th June. I could just wait for IND to give me a new one coz I had paid for my new one!! But they said it won’t arrive for another 4 weeks…Whhattt??? then how am I supposed to go to Prague next month without any legal document?? stupid!!
2. Oh yeah..I am going to Prague next month…Agoes is going to attend a conference there..While I…well…vacation of course!!!:)..therefore, we will need visa for
3. Since our ‘legal document’ won’t be ready for…ooohh..I don’t know…so we have to ask for a return visa so we could go out and in the country as we pleased…This visa could be obtained in Zwolle.
4. And the Visa for Prague can be obtained in Den Haag. But first we have to have the return visa.

So, on Friday we went to Zwolle around noon (I had to skip school for this). We had to wait quite sometimes and also we had to pay for it!!! How ridiculous!! I had asked for the same return visa just a few months before, and they didn’t ask for any money!!! Capitalist!!!
And since the embassy of Chech Republic is closed during weekends (of course!!!), we had to go to Den Haag the next Monday. And it only opens from 9 to 12!!! So can you imagine how early we should go from Enschede??  We had to catch the 6.27 train from Enschede Central!!! How rude!!

Fortunately that day it wasn’t too cold, so I was quite happy biking in the morning to the station. If not, can you imagine the mood I would be in??  In Den Haag, everything when smoothly and they said that we could pick the visa up around Friday. But at that time, we knew that we couldn’t pick it up Friday coz Agoes has already scheduled to be interviewed by the people at Accenture. So we decided to pick it up around next week.

And what happened on other days during this week?? Well..on Thursday morning, Agoes was being interviewed by some professors from Newcastle University, Sydney - Australia. At first they wanted to call him around 3.45am…can you imagine how early that was for an interview??? But fortunately Agoes managed to re-schedule it and moved it to 6am in the morning. He was afraid that if the interview was too early in the morning, he would fall asleep in the middle of it..hehehe..
For the preparation, Agoes was trained to wake up early every morning…a.k.a…he tried to wake up at the same time as I am…hahaha…what a struggle.
Nevertheless, the interview went well, I guess. Now all we have to do is just wait for the decision. The question remains…what will we do if he gets the job?? When is the best time for us to move???
I don’t know the answer for this one. At this point, our live is full of uncertainties. I don’t know where I’ll be next year..hehehe..

And another amazing story for this week was that Agoes’ interviewed with Accenture was canceled due to the strike movement launched by the trains all over the Netherlands…hahaha…pheewwww..he said.!!!

Unpleasant News…:(

Remember when I told the story where I dreamed of me loosing a job-opportunity??
Well…it happened yesterday!!!

Finally, I received the letter from VUA which basically told me that I didn’t cut out to be one of the two persons for the PhD position.
I kinda know it earlier, well..actually right after the interview…but I tried to tell myself otherwise..
Ofcourse I was a little upset and disappointed…coz I kinda hope that this is it…I could continue my study as I planned..
But well…as all people say…man can only make plans and God will decide.!!!

Agoes tried to cheer me up, while he himself I think was a little nervous for this morning’s interview…

I guess, I just tried to figure out what am I going to do with my life…am I supposed to be jobless for the rest of my life? Or is there something better for me out there…
But when…???? O God…please give me patience as I kinda ran out of it!!!!

Thursday’s Blues

Thursday, June 2nd, 2005

Today is Thursday already…
What have done for these couple of days??
Maybe I was a little bit busy with school that I let myself walking in the rain to the bus station??
And after that I got sick because if it???
Well, is it worth it?? Maybe….

But the most unlikely thing was the fact that for these couple of nights, I had dreams!!!
Really…dreams…you know when you go to sleep and you get those images in your head…dreams..!!!
I remember that I haven’t had any since…pheww….don’t even know anymore..
The funny thing is that I remembered them!! So when I got up, I could tell them to other people (of course..the people whom I dreamed..:)))…
I dreamed about people getting married, proposed, having children, and even about my unlucky fortune in finding a job..:(…how sad!!!

I know that dreams mean that my unconsciousness is trying to tell me something..but what??
The only thing that is related to me was the dream when I lost my opportunity in finding a job..:(
And it was all because my bestfriends (in the dream - ofcourse) had the upperhand..:(
Is it because I am unconsciously stressed out due to the fact that I haven’t heard anything from VUA???

That is maybe true!!!…Oh God…please give me patience!!!
